Who Should Attend a Cursillo Weekend?

Catholic men and women who want to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ are welcome to learn more about attending a Cursillo Weekend.

If you are a Catholic who wants to develop a better understanding of the Holy Spirit and to learn how to share the joy of God’s love with friends, this weekend is for you.

What to Expect on a Cursillo Weekend?

While on a Cursillo Weekend, expect to discover your own unique value and to develop new friendships.  You will also experience God’s love and receive the confidence needed to impact your community and bring the presence of Christ to all you meet.

The Cursillo Weekend begins on Thursday night and consists of educational talks from clergy and lay presenters. There are also small group discussions, prayer, Mass, time to relax, fun, laughter, joy, and the opportunity for Confession.

What Do Others Say about their Cursillo Experience?

“After my Cursillo weekend, I had a roadmap towards a deeper relationship with Christ.”

– Bill D’Andrea

“Cursillo has given me a this whole new community of women who have shown me new and amazing ways to grow in my faith. My love of the Holy Spirit has been rekindled and His gifts have been set ablaze in me.  I am so grateful to God for bringing Cursillo into my life.”

– Jackie Oberhausen

Where Do Cursillo Weekends Take Place?

Cursillo Weekends usually occur at St. Felix Catholic Center (1280 Hitzfield Street, Huntington, IN 46750).

St. Felix Catholic Center was the home of Blessed Solanus Casey for 10 years. It provides private, simple Franciscan-style bedrooms with outlets. Each wing in the center has a large restroom with shower facilities.

How Do I Apply for a Cursillo Weekend?

Thank you for your interest in being a candidate on a Cursillo Weekend. If you know someone who has been on a Cursillo Weekend, a great first step is to reach out him or her to find out more about the experience. If you don’t know anyone who has been on a Cursillo Weekend, feel free to reach out to us through the contact form below and we’ll be in touch to share more about Cursillo and the application process.

Please note that applications for Cursillo Weekends are taken year-round. Because applications are accepted from across the diocese and each Weekend can only admit a certain number of candidates, it could be that not all applicants can be accepted for the next scheduled Weekend.

The cost for the entire Weekend is $125 which includes food and lodging. $25 is due at the time of the application and the remaining $100 is due upon arrival. Checks may be written to the “Fort Wayne-South Bend Cursillo Movement” and mailed to the address below. (Because there is limited space on each Weekend and due to the number of applications received for each Weekend, your application is not complete until your non-refundable $25 deposit is received.)

Thank you again for your interest!
